Grab the colouring pencils and get your creative juices flowing – the Exclusive Recfishwest and Halco kids’ lure colouring competition is back!
Teaming up once again with our long-time partners at Halco, we’re giving young fishos aged 12 and under the chance to turn their colourful creations into a real Laser Pro 120 DD lure.
The winning design will be transformed into an exclusive, limited-edition Recfishwest lure made by Halco, with the lucky young fisho receiving 10 lures featuring their very own design, plus a behind-the-scenes tour of Halco HQ in Fremantle.
How to enter:
Entering is as easy as colour it, name it and send it in!
- Download and print the lure colouring sheet below.
- Colour in the Laser Pro 120 DD outline and give your creation a great name.
- Fill in the entrant and parent/guardian details.
- Take a clear photo or scan of the completed entry.
- Email it to info@recfishwest.org.au with the subject line “Halco lure colouring competition entry”.
Entries close 30 November 2026, with the winning design to be announced in early 2027.

Dreamt up by WA’s next generation of fishos, we have seen some seriously cool designs, including O-Fishally Fishy, the Striped Mauler, Jango, Soarer 2000 and who could forget the Bubbly Tiger?
Now, it’s time to find our next young lure-designing legend.
Whether it’s bright, bold, spotty, stripy or something we’ve never seen before, we want kids to let their imaginations run wild and create a lure they reckon fish simply won’t be able to resist.
