Another round, another grinner! Daniel Bell’s gummy shark grin takes the win!

A fantastic gummy shark and an even bigger smile have earned Daniel Bell the winner’s title in the second round of Recfishwest’s inaugural Grins and Fins kids photo competition!

As part of Ocean Reef Angling Club’s ongoing beach roaming competition, Daniel Bell and his dad, Rob Bell, were casting lines off Jurien Bay’s lush blue beaches when the young fisho landed this impressive gummy shark.

Following in the footsteps of his dad, a Western Angler columnist and keen fisho, Daniel has already made a name for himself on the fishing scene, with his beaming grin earning him an equally gleaming Shimano prize pack!

Daniel’s smile says it all, capturing the joy of fishing and the special memories made by getting outdoors and wetting a line with family.

Recfishwest Fishing Clinics Program Manager Sedin Hasanovic congratulates young gun Daniel Bell, who beams a grin of his own.

Supported by Healthway and Shimano, our Grins and Fins kids photo competition continues to encourage young fishos across WA to get amongst the outdoors, spending time with friends and family while casting a line for its proven physical and wellbeing benefits.

Winners are selected every three months, celebrating the smiles, memories, and experiences that fishing creates – whether it’s catching a herring from the beach, squid from a jetty, or a trophy fish offshore.

Want to see your young fisho featured as our next Grins and Fins winner?

Parents and guardians can enter by submitting a photo of their young fisho showing off their beaming smile and latest catch here.
