Clinic News and Recent Updates

This Financial year is done! 2023-24 is complete with only a few bits and pieces left to finish regarding reporting to Healthway, I’m working with schools, community clubs and fishing clubs to get some clinics going for next financial year.

Quick notes:

  1. Please clean down bait boards, bait containers and knives used for cutting up bait.
  2.  Discard all wet smelly rags.
  3. Please don’t put back rods that are not rigged up or that have tangled line around the reel. Re-rig them.
  4. Put all equipment including sinkers and rigs back in compartments where they belong.
  5. Any damaged rods or reels remove from the rack and put up the back of the trailer and report to Sedin. For broken rod tips, we have spare tips and glue to replace them.
  6. Just note that the spare rigs that have been made up, many of them the knots are very poor and line pulls through. Test the new rig before using.

If you have run out of time please contact me (0434 348 436) and I can personally sort the trailer or have someone volunteer closer to the trailer location to organise the trailer for the next clinic.

    Photography during Clinics

    Images of children

    Please be reminded to make sure children, young people, their parents and carers understand what they are agreeing to when taking a photo or video:

    Make them aware that a photo or video is being taken.

    Explain what the image is going to be used for (Recfishwest communications and promotion and advertising of fishing clinics)

    Ask for their consent to share their image (the organiser of the clinic signs generally on their behalf when completing the fishing clinic application form) but it’s important to ask the child, parent or carer on the day also.

    Give them the opportunity to opt out.
