Recfishwest is the peak body representing the interests of the cast of 750,000 West Aussie recreational fishers. We are a not-for-profit organisation which strives to ensure high-quality recreational fishing experiences are maintained and enjoyed, as an integral part of the WA lifestyle.
While we have a long-standing service level agreement with the WA Government, we are proudly independent and non-aligned with any political party or organisation.
Our purpose is to represent, advocate and promote the interests and rights of all Western Australian recreational fishers and responsible fishing practices to ensure fisheries sustainability and optimal social and economic benefits.
Our vision is to protect and create accessible, enjoyable and safe fishing underpinned by thriving aquatic ecosystems and abundant fish stocks to deliver great fishing experiences for all in the WA community now and forever.

With an Executive Board of Directors, along with our expert team of staff, Recfishwest is equipped with the skills to deliver large-scale projects in conjunction with our partners to enhance and develop abundant, sustainable fisheries and promote and protect community fishing experiences.
