As the recognised peak recreational fishing body in Western Australia, Recfishwest is recognised as a major stakeholder in aquatic ecosystem management and participates in fisheries management at many levels in order to ensure the sustainability of fish species and their habitat.
We provide comment on issues which have implications for the management of recreational fishing in Western Australia and negotiate the best possible outcome for the resource and our constituents.
In order to achieve these goals and ensure that the views of the recreational fishing sector are well represented, we work closely with government departments at both a state and commonwealth levels.
