A brand new fishing platform suitable for disabled anglers is being built in Bunbury.
The City of Bunbury has engaged a contractor to construct a small fishing platform at the Stirling Street Boat Ramp.
The new structure is being constructed on the east side of the boat ramps, will require less maintenance and will be wheelchair accessible.
This is to replace the previous platform on the west side of the boat ramp which was removed last year as it was unsafe.
The jetty is expected to be completed early this month.
This fishing platform will complement the Stirling Street Boat Ramp and Car Park site, and complete the overall upgrade which had considerable financial support from the Recreational Boating Facilities Scheme.
